Day At The Beach

Last week we had April break from school. So my family and I went to Harkness Park, which is a state park in Connecticut. Part of it was a big field. It is on the coast of Connecticut so there is a big beach.

We flew our kites for a while, and then we took a long walk on the beach. While we were walking we spotted a few sea shells here and there. I was the first one to find sea glass. The funny thing is my brother just said he wanted to find sea glass and then I found some! Then my brother saw a Horseshoe Crab, we all thought it was dead because it wasn’t moving. Then my dad picked it up by it’s shell. It was facing my dad  when he picked it up. And guess what? It was alive! It’s legs were moving trying to get back down. When we got farther into the beach there were rocks that we climbed on! It was a very fun time!

What do you like to do at the beach?

Do you like to look for things on the beach too?

Welcome!

Welcome everyone!  I am looking forward to getting a lot of comments from you all.  Let me tell you a little bit about myself… my favorite sports are soccer and lacrosse.  They are both very fun. I am nine years old, and have the best teacher in the world!

This might sound weird to you but I have a goat and seven chickens!  But that’s not all the pets I have, I also have a dog and two birds. My favorite book is James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. My favorite movie is Madagascar. I am looking forward to sharing my interests with you!
